MEET TIM
Managing Director
Before Loftus Labs, Tim Raiswell was a vice president and analyst in corporate finance at Gartner, a technology research and consulting company. There, he worked with hundreds of chief financial officers at mid-sized and large companies, advising them on financial strategy, which is mostly growth investments and cost management. He was also a managing director and head of corporate finance research for CEB, a best-practices and business advisory firm in Washington, D.C. Tim holds degrees from the universities of London, Cambridge, and New York, and he was recently the technical reviewer for the Apress book Transactional Machine Learning with Data Streams and AutoML, and he continues to pursue research in business analytics.
Tim is from Manchester in England, where his British family still lives. He has lived in the United States for 16 years, and he resides in Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife Kristin and his son Xavier.

MEET PATRICK
Chairman and Founder
Patrick Smith is a fourth-generation farmer in his family’s diversified agriculture operation in the Yakima Valley and CEO of Loftus Ranches. He also helped co-found Bale Breaker Brewing Company along with his siblings, Kevin Smith and Meghann Quinn, and brother-in-law, Kevin Quinn.
Prior to rejoining the family businesses in 2009, Patrick spent five years in the financial industry, most recently as an analyst with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in their Public Finance office in Seattle. Patrick and his wife, Colleen, reside in Yakima with their three children Caroline, Luke, and Keira and their dog, Barley.

MEET JEFF
Principal, Advanced Analytics
Prior to joining the Loftus Labs team, Jeff worked in a variety of capital markets and analytic roles, all with a common theme of making the numbers talk. He traded the NYSE hunting for arbitrage opportunities, was an equity research associate under a top-ranked analyst, and managed a large Canadian electric utility’s Treasury department.
It was during Jeff’s next role leading the company’s retail analytics team that he uncovered his true passion – advanced analytics. At this pivotal point, he enrolled in New York University and earned his MSc in Business Analytics and has since ferociously tried to advance his knowledge in the application of analytics to solving business problems. Jeff currently resides in Calgary, which is home of the greatest outdoor show on earth. Being only a stone’s throw away from the Rocky Mountains, Jeff loves to spend his time hiking, camping, and snowboarding.

MEET AARON
Principal, Environmental Monitoring and Control
Aaron Westfall is an Electrical Engineer with a passion for delivering technical solutions in agriculture. His experience over the last 6 years has covered a range of positions in the Ag Tech space and leading the acquisition of a small privately owned company into a global consulting firm. Aaron and his team were excited to partner with Loftus Labs to advance and develop irrigation and hop drying solutions with the farmer's needs as the top priority. Aaron lives in Yakima with his wife Lynsey, and their two boys. Aaron’s interests include skiing, Formula 1, and tabletop roleplaying games.
